Early in the morning on february 8th, 2023 the whole team leaves from Libido Music’s Office, Stockholm with a portable SampleBar and lots of enthusiasm for the first trip together as a team. Visiting Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi but also to look at other new projects that are in the loop.
The first stop is Doha, located on the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia and capital of Qatar. We wanted to see the town and the country. And what can I say? The country is a huge contrast to both Sweden and Kenya. Artificial green parks and skyscrapers make up the silhouette of Doha, you rarely see anything old in this town, not even cars. The history of Doha dates back to the 19th century, when it was a small fishing village and pearling center and then, some 80 years ago, they found oil and the result of that is what we are visiting.
But it was an interesting 24 hours. We did a lot of walking and a lot of talking. What about? How nice it would be to see a SampleBar in Qatar :-).
